Fairy Tales and War

Is Truth Subjective?
Is truth subjective?  The answer is emphatically no. If truth could be subjective, then there would be no truth. Truth is a constant and an absolute given by God. He created the world and all that is in it. Therefore, He set forth truth which emanates from Him. Right and wrong is based on truth. Most people have an opinion of what is the truth or right and wrong. They conclude in their own minds what they think is right and wrong from what they have been taught by parents, friends, teachers, and society. How do you know what you have been taught is right? Right and wrong is not based on what a person thinks and has decided for their self. It is amiss to form your own opinion of what’s right instead of searching for what is true.

In some countries, cannibalism was practiced.  Is it okay to eat someone?  Why not?  Is it good to help the disabled and elderly? Should you help a person that has been injured and lying in the street?  Is there a definite right and wrong in this world?  Should the majority of people’s opinions be the standard of what is right or should what God says be the standard?

In America, it is politically correct to let everyone have their own opinion regardless of where and how their opinion was formed (largely due to mixed cultures in this country). Without a definite set of standards to live by, confusion and anarchy is on the way. God created the world with laws and standards. People who do not know God are out there forming their own opinions and think that they are right. Even people that do know God, don't always seek his instruction on every issue. Is stem cell research right?  Is it okay for children to shower together in public school gymnasium locker rooms?

There is a definite right and wrong in this world, so the next time someone says that this is right or this is wrong, think to yourself how did they come to that opinion?  Be careful who you believe.  Most everyone thinks that they are right.  It is blatantly obvious that not everyone can be right, so who is? The closer a person is to the creator of the world and His truth, the more they will have the understanding to know what is right and wrong. This relationship with Him begins with salvation and progresses through learning His word and walking with Him.

Psalm 96:13  ... He (God) shall judge the world with righteousness and the people with His truth.
