1. Fear
A. Scriptures:
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect
in love.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Job 41:33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

B. Definition: Fear- When fear is a noun, it is a state of mind. It is an uneasiness or imbalance of the mind, having the thought of future
evil possible to come upon us. When fear is a verb, it is a feeling. To feel afraid. To feel anxiety or apprehension of evil.
Note: There is a natural fear- fight or flight fear and there is a reverent fear of authority and God.
2. Pride
A. Scriptures:
Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:5 - Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be
unpunished.
James 4:6 - But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Psalm 10:4 - The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

B. Definition: Pride- Inordinate (irregular, unbalanced) self-esteem.
3. Control
A. Definition: to subject to authority; to have under command; to restrain
B. God wants control Colossians 1:16,17 by him all things consist; Proverbs 16:33 disposing is of the Lord; Isaiah 45:5-7 he does all
these things-there is none else
C. Satan wants control Isaiah 14:14 be like the most high; 1 Peter 5:8 seeks to devour; Luke 22:31 sift as wheat; John 13:2 put into the
heart; John 13:27 entered into
